MCC-Mongolia Water Compact contributes to SDG’s Sixth goal: Clean water and Sanitation

The United Nations in Mongolia, in partnership with its key stakeholders, has organized “Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) Open Day” - an outdoor public event on September 10, 2022, at Sukhbaatar’s Square, which aims to engage with and raise awareness of the Mongolian public on the SDGs, acknowledge and promote best practices, individual initiatives and positive changes created by stakeholders, including the private sector, development partners and local communities that contributed to the SDGs. By showcasing their achievements and solutions for sustainability, the event also aims to inspire and mobilize more individual and collective actions and commitment to achieving the SDGs and Vision 2050. 

MCA Mongolia participated with the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development and introduced the MCC-Mongolia Water Compact, which contributes to the “Sixth goal: Clean water and Sanitation – Ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all” of SDG. 

 UN Resident Coordinator Tapan Mishra, Minister of Economics and Development Khurelbaatar Ch., Minister of Construction and Urban Development Munkhbaatar B.,U.S Ambassador Michael S. Klecheski, Millennium Challenge Corporation Mongolia’s Resident Country Director Tina Yu, MCA Mongolia Interim CEO Enkhjargal Danzanbaljir visited the MCA Mongolia booth and introduced about MCC Mongolia Water Compact to public.
