NON-PAID INTERN FOR THE LEGAL UNIT

“Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia” or MCA-Mongolia is a state-owned entity established by Government Resolution No 297, dated October 2018. MCA-Mongolia is established to implement the Mongolia Water Compact signed with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a U.S. government foreign aid agency.

Under the direction of the Legal team, the Intern will perform support functions for legal administrative duties. The term of the internship is ONE MONTH. The working hours will be 20 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assisting with document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and editing documents.
• Conducting legal research and compiling information for use by legal staff.
• Organizing and maintaining files, both physical and digital, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
• Scheduling meetings, and appointments for legal staff.
• Taking and transcribing meeting minutes or notes during meetings.
• Communicating with MCA-Mongolia's other team to gather information or provide updates.
• Performing general office tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing documents.
• Providing support to other administrative tasks as needed.

The profile:

Student currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in a law program at an accredited university or law school. The intern should be with full schedule availability with the following basic requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Good level of English and academic performance;
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork, dynamic and with initiative;
• Availability to work 20 hours per week.
