The Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing has approved and implemented “The set of quantitative and qualitative criteria for assessing the gender-responsiveness of the working conditions of workers” and “checklist for workplaces” considering the specifics of the construction section as the first exemplary implementation of the ‘National Policy on Gender-Responsive Workplace’.
To enhance the effective implementation of the criteria in practice, the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction and Housing, and Millennium Challenge Account of Mongolia organized a workshop on the development of the toolkit and the promotion posters under their Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation for gender equality in construction at the conference room of MCA Mongolia.
Representatives from the Gender Council of the Ministry and corporations implementing international construction projects participated in the workshop and exchanged their practices and recommendations.
